Meet the Team

Teresa Phillips
Founder & CEO
Though her passion lies in creating new markets and product categories, Teresa has built a career around operational excellence. Prior to founding Graspr, she served as VP of Business Operations for Yahoo!'s Broadband and Mobile division, where was recruited to build the operational infrastructure for Yahoo!'s emerging broadband business.

Prior to Yahoo!, Teresa served as Group VP of Program Management at Road Runner / Time Warner. Responsible for Product Management, Project Management, and Business Operations, Teresa led the roll-out of the Company's flagship products to cable affiliates nationwide.

Throughout her 14-year tenure in high-tech, Teresa has served in product and operations roles in several start-ups including CyberCash, InterCon Systems, and Indigo. She earned her leadership stripes while serving for 7 years in the U.S. Army, supporting many general officers including a former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff and a former NATO commander. Teresa graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Technology Management.

John Robison
Chief Technology Officer
John has spent over 20 years in software development. Most recently he led the technology and product development teams at SideStep, acquired by Kayak.com, creating the biggest travel search website in the world. Prior to joining SideStep, John spent 10 years at Yahoo! creating, leading, and managing the development of some of the world's largest personalized web platforms, including My Yahoo!. John also served as vice president and general manager of Yahoo!'s Premium Services Infrastructure, playing an integral role in the technology support for this significant revenue stream.

Additionally, he led engineering efforts supporting Yahoo!'s Platform Engineering and Access Partnerships (SBC/AT&T, BT), with a strategic focus on membership, personalization, premium services and application security. Prior to Yahoo!, John held technical leadership positions with TravelNet, Inc., Electronic Data Systems and Oceania Health Care Systems.

John enjoys spending time at the beach with his family, and driving fast cars around local racetracks when he gets the chance.

Trish Maher
VP Business Development
Trish has enjoyed a successful career that centered around learning, business, and organizational development. After holding key leadership positions in corporate sales and learning, she founded a learning & development consulting firm, specializing in workforce development, change management, learning, & process development in the broadband and government sectors. Trish served as Chief Operating Officer, led business development, and authored hundreds of curriculum development and business initiatives, in sales, product deployment, leadership, management, and technology.

In 2006, Trish sold her consulting firm and joined Graspr to work alongside Teresa Phillips, Graspr's founder and a long-time and highly-respected colleague with whom she worked at both Time Warner and Yahoo! Trish had the opportunity to work with Graspr from its inception and values the vision and inspiration her fellow team mates bring to the table each day. For Trish, Graspr represents the opportunity to apply her diverse background of start-up deployment efforts, business development, and of course, learning and personal development. Every day at Graspr brings a new and exciting opportunity.

Chanda Dharap
Director Engineering & Chief Flash Architect
Chanda comes to Graspr with 14 years of experience in software engineering and Engineering management. Before coming to Graspr she was Director of Engineering at AlphaDetail Inc, where she was responsible for architecture, development and product management of AlphaDetail's Flash based Market Research platform. Prior to AlphaDetail, Chanda worked at Headpedal Inc., where she built Headpedal's Flash based engine for character user interaction, dynamically driving concurrent event animations, including character gestures and visemes. Chanda holds a PhD in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University and an MTech in Computer Science from Pune University, India.

When she is not being OC about her work, she enjoys almost everything she can find in the NOW, square-foot gardening, watercolor, riding her new bright red bicycle on the Baylands - in fact rumor has it that she is on first name terms with the visiting pelicans there!
