Description: As they say with any exercise, it's (more...) "No Pain No Gain". And piano exercises are no different. So now we'll step it up a notch by practicing one more 15-note finger pattern both forward and backwards. Next, it's time to take the training wheels off and add a little speed and more notes with my very own "Finger Jujitsu" invention! Don't worry, it's just a very tricky piano fingering chart that I like to call: "The Tongue Twister". Don't rush this lesson coz it's a little harder than it looks! Description: Get ready to move your hands around the (more...) keyboard like never before! Because the new video for Get Piano Lesson 9 is now LIVE and in effect! There are truly TERRIFIC things going on behind the scenes at GetPianoLessons.com and this is DEFINITELY one of them! In this detailed video lesson, we really escalate our level of playing and begin to perform separate note patterns in each hand while playing at a much busier work rate. In fact we’ll play one note in each hand for EVERY beat we count! This is a professional FIRST for us and it means that we won’t have the option of resting a less busy hand while concentrating most of our attention on a main melody line anymore. This time BOTH hands are just as busy and constantly playing different notes in each hand for each beat in our piano exercises! So get ready to challenge your coordination skills here, because the time for “easy piano lessons†is all over! (less)

Description: PLEASE NOTE: YouTube rejected Part One (more...) of this lesson because it is over 11 minutes long, (But you can still watch it by going to my myspace page or just click on the link below to my website). So, now that we've warmed up our left hand with some basic sight-reading drills, let's start practicing a set of 15-note finger charts and play them both forward and backwards! If you perform these exercises properly without peeking at your fingers, you'll get a terrific piano lesson in "hand-eye coordination" that will sharpen your sight-reading skills and ultimately help increase your playing ability on the keyboard. Description: When it comes to piano playing, it's (more...) important to make sure your left hand is getting just as much practice as your right hand. The reason for this is because the right hand usually takes the lead and performs most of the work in many piano compositions. This can leave your left hand with alot less practice than your right hand. But in lesson six, we're not going to allow that to happen! We've got plenty of finger exercises to practice and perform with our left hand. And as they say, practice makes perfect, so we're going to play these exercises both forward and backwards to make sure we're getting a good work out! As always, you can catch the complete piano tutorial online at: http://www.get-piano-lessons.com/beginner-lessons-for-piano-left2.html (less)

Description: Welcome to Get Piano Lesson 8 where we (more...) begin to ask our left hand questions it’s never had to answer before... how to play the DOMINANT role in a two-handed piano piece? As we all know, piano music is largely performed with a major emphasis on the notes played with the right hand. But there are times when our left hand needs to step up a little and support the right hand with a more prominent rhythm section... like NOW! So... right handed beginners... prepare to step out of your comfort zone for the next 10 to 20 minutes and lets get to work!! This full video is much too long to be shown here, but you can watch the entire lesson (for free as always) by simply going to: http://www.get-piano-lessons.com/how-to-learn-piano.html (less)

Description: It's back! Just when you thought these (more...) left hand exercises were going to be easy, here comes that same tricky maze of scattered numbers once again that must be played on our keyboard with proper speed and accuracy! There's no room for sloppiness here. In order for us to graduate to the next phase in our piano education, we must conquer this obstacle first. We've already faced this monster once before during our right hand exercises. And if you are right-handed, you probably had the edge. But now we must use our left hand (and possibly your weaker hand) to slay this dragon! There's no way around it. Prepare to face off against The Finger Tongue Twister once again and prove your left hand piano skills!
