Twisting toe raises are a progression of the toe raise.
They are great for your obliques.
To perform properly, make sure your legs remain above your hips.
You shouldn't have to lower your legs to the floor in front of you or above your head behind you for momentum.
Doing so could cause injury.
If you can't perform any exercise properly you should regress to an easier exercise.
If you have muscle imbalances you should begin to correct them before you increase the difficulty of any exercise which will increase the risk of injury.
